Buying A New Condo
There are three common reasons why people are buying new condominiums:
The number
one reason people buy condos is for the ease of maintenance. Busy young
working couples, retirees, and single parents have discovered that owning a condo means never having to mow the
lawn, pressure wash the house, pull weeds, or any of the other chores that
single family homeowners have to do on a regular basis. Being free of
these arduous tasks allows one to relax on the weekends, maybe by the pool,
tennis courts, or golf course.

Sure beats mowing the lawn!
The number
two reason people buy condos is the affordability of price as opposed to owning
a single family home. Many one bedroom condos are still in the $80,000-150,000
range. Two and three bedrooms will always be a bit higher priced.
Condos near the beach or on lakefront will be the most expensive, often fetching
prices between $400,000 to over $1,000,000!
The number
three reason that people buy condos is to socialize with others in their
development. Condos often have clubhouses, game rooms, or other areas
where people who share common interests can meet and perhaps develop
friendships.
Of course,
condos almost always have monthly association fees. And while these fees
may increase your monthly payments, keep in mind that condo insurance is
substantially lower than single family homeowners' insurance. And the
taxes are often lower as well, making the condo truly affordable for most
people!
Condos in
Jacksonville have really shown great appreciation of value in recent years too!
